Trek through the world’s highest tea plantation! Kolukkumalai is only accessible by jeeps because of the rugged terrain. Walking up this route is not permitted. Jeeps are available from the town of Suryanelli and it takes you about 2 hours to reach the drop-off point after which you trek for a short distance. Suryanelli eco-camp village is situated close to Suryanelli tea plantation and Suryanelli town. It is a beautiful campsite overlooking the valley which gives a beautiful valley view. We have very comfortable tents with sleeping gear provided. This camping is suitable for couples, family and solo travellers.

Getting there

	Nearest airports are in and Cochin (116kms) and Madurai (192kms).
	Nearest railway station is Kottayam Railway Station (90kms), Dindigul Junction (90kms).
	Direct bus services are available to Suryanelli from all the major towns nearby. If you are coming from Tamil Nadu side or Kerala side (Munnar/Vagamon) please come to Suryanelli town where the campsite is located. Ample parking facility is available at the campsite.

Day 1

	Reach Eco-camp village, Suryanelli by following the given location
	Welcome drink /coffee
	Evening sunset trekking to a nearby viewpoint and a waterfall.
	Barbeque
	Dinner (Veg & Non-veg)
	Campfire with music
	Sleep in comfortable tent

Day 2

	Wake up at early morning 4:00 am
	Drink coffee/tea
	Kolukkumalai tea plantation visit, Kolukkumalai sunrise, off-roading in jeep
	Back to campsite at 9:00 after the sunrise jeep ride and trek
	Breakfast
	Explore the campsite and socialise with other travellers in the campsite
	After noon or evening checkout
	Camping Ends with Happy & joyful Memories

Important details you must know before preparing for the trip

	Private vehicles are not allowed inside Kolukkumalai tea plantation.
	Any bulk booking should be done 3-4 weeks prior to the planned date through Sneakout to ensure availability.
	This is a leave no trace camping and trekking experience, please don't carry single use plastic items.
	This activity is not recommended for anyone with impaired physical mobility
	If you are prone to motion sickness, we strongly recommend you take travel sickness tablets 1 hour(s) before starting Jeep (4X4) ride to Kolukkumalai peak in the morning.
	Please note that the road infrastructures in Suryanelli / Kolukkumalai tea plantation are underdeveloped; you may experience a bumpy ride.

Stayed here 2 nights, it was an awesome way to experience Munnar for the first time. You'll be in the thick of the tea plantation in a very remote, peaceful setting. Tents and the campsite were clean and comfortable. Loved the view at the early morning sunrise spot where they took us!
